What is my Giving Site Homepage and why do I need to set one?

« Go Back

A:
Your Giving Site Homepage is the campaign page assigned to appear at the "root directory" of your giving site. In other words, all of your campaign pages will be a part of the site at the URL: https://your-organizations-name.networkforgood.com but only one page will appear when that address is entered: your Giving Site Homepage. Even if you never share the root URL, donors could end up on this page, for example, when they click on your logo on your Giving Site or they click "Sign Out" or "End Giving Session" or if they remove the last item in their GiveCart and leave the payment process.

It is important to set a Giving Site Homepage for your account. If no Homepage is assigned, donors who go to your root URL will see an error message:

Settings a Homepage

  1. Log into your administrative account at https://your-organizations-name.networkforgood.com/admins/sign_in. You should land on your My Campaigns page.
  2. Look for the legend with campaign status icons: Active, Pending, Incomplete, Closed, and Giving Site Homepage.
  3. Click on the link change.
  4. Select the campaign page you would like to assign as your Homepage from the dropdown list.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Notice the campaign tile now displays a green star in the top right corner, indicating that it is your current Homepage.

NOTE: We recommend setting your Homepage to be an Everyday Giving Page that you are using as your general year-round donation page.
